Welcome

The Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project is a group dedicated to researching Low Energy Nuclear Reactions (often referred to as LENR) while sharing all procedures, data, and results openly online. We rely on comments from online contributors to aid us in developing our experiments and contemplating the results. We invite everyone to participate in our discussions, which take place in the comments of our experiment posts. These links can be seen along the right-hand side of this page. Please browse around and give us your feedback. We look forward to seeing you around Quantum Heat.

Join us and become part of the project. Become one of the active commenters, who question our work and suggest next steps.

Or, if you are an experimenter, talk to us about becoming an affiliated lab and doing your work in a Live Open Science manner.

We opened up the test cell that had the Acetone in it.  We are currently examining the wire and seeing interesting barnacle looking deposits on it.  We will share those pictures when we get them together.

In the place of that wire, we installed 50 meters of 40 gauge Constantan wire (90 strands at 40 cm, 0.078 cm diameter) that we will attempt to load and then cycle. We added an external heater to the cell so it will be heated passively.  This is based on a report that after repeated thermal cycling in H2, bare isotan started to show a few watts of excess heat.  We'll give it a try after we run a calibration in the calorimeter with the modified test cell.  Expect more updates with photos when we have time.

To better show the problem I have in my RSS reader:

BTW, since date sorting doesn't work for RSS feeds for these spreadsheets, it would be better to have dates in ISO format (yyyy-mm-dd HH:mm) so that alphanumerical ordering for all rows would also be chronological.

Will this work?

Those blank lines are there only to help calculate the UTC timestamp. If someone could tell me how to make it do that with a script every time a line is added, I would be happy to get rid of those lines. Anybody ever write scripts for Google Spreadsheets? I looked at them briefly, but couldn't put the time in to really figure it out.

Unrelated with the ongoing experiments, but I'm wondering if you could remove these empty lines from the experiment logs:

Doing this would make RSS feeds for changes on those pages more readable.

For this test could you try for the first loading attempt the highest hydrogen pressure you can safely set?
