Yes, this wire seems brittle and will be handled with gloves and as little as possible. I haven't touched it, yet, but I am very eager. I hope it wraps onto the supports in the test cell nicely. Small samples of this wire will be saved for future microscopy and analysis.

Are special precautions needed to handle these wires by the way? I was thinking that bare hands handling could damage or otherwise negatively affect their surface due to skin oils.

Only 3 meters? Not very much for experimenting and tests (especially if one breaks). But I guess more can be obtained if necessary (although this will mean delay).

Images are still quite large. Only their display size has been reduced. For the sake of bandwidth saving I think you should include a physically reduced version for blog posts, and the original version as a link when clicking them. If you understand what I mean (the system admin surely will).

Have you changed the comment ordering, anyway? I think it used to be "first posts, first". It currently is "first posts, last". It's not very convenient when answering to the last post because one has to scroll up and down continuously to read the post he is referring to.

Nice!

But I think images are too big. The big versions should be embedded as links from smaller ones that fit the blog, to save bandwidth and avoid breaking the layout.

By the way, how many meters of wire are you going to receive?
