Real Time Data on New Server

Written by Ryan Hunt on .

We are experiencing an overload of interest in the live data stream.

"That's the problem with being famous." - Mathieu Valat

There are so many users that the data from the experiment is not getting to the central database.  It is currently running several minutes behind. To make the data stream more available, we are installing a new server in the cloud.  Once that server is set up, we will entice everyone to switch to that server by putting the newest user interface on it that makes it easier, faster, and better.

The way it works is that the computer Celani1 is collecting the data from the experiment  database and stores it on it's own database. Then the data is sent to the central database.  The HUGnetView software gets the data from this database.  The new server will be a mirror of the one that is overloaded here.

Due to the heavy traffic, it will take a while to get everything synchronized and working.

Hi. You are using a clear lexan plastic shield. If there are mirco bl (tiny plasmoids) coming off the cell and hitting the shield, the clear plastic will be ideal for detecting plasmoid marks and plasmoid residues by using an optical microscope x400 or so. I am suggesting this because I found such plasmoid markings on a cell with a lexan container. The importance of this is knowing about the emission products, the energy loss through plasmoid (electrical object) emission and what is going on in the cell.

The server is backup - the wall of data downloads caused the first to lock up and the second faster one failed also - we are learning a lot about Denial of service.

Please consider uploading your data to a google spreadsheet, preferably through their API. They can handle the traffic. Please feel free to contact me for assistance.

Hoping the new server is coming soon!
Live data from the Celani1 cell at the HUG site is stuck at time 23:17 (on my pc) currently.

While waiting for this new server coming online, if I may, a question. The pressure in your tables, is that infered from some initial mesaurement and temperature, or is it continously measured? what would be the accuracy/precis ion of those measurements in that case? Where is the pressure probe placed in the reactor?

Said it before, I find your efforts most encouraging. Appreciate answer on the above, if you can.
