Life's a bench

Geschrieben von Robert Greenyer am .

Mathieu in France has been building a new home for up and coming experiments

Making best use of the desperately needed cash injection that came to Mathieu in the form of the Antonio Meneghetti, Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation's physics prize is not easy. Mathieu has spent countless hours trawling ebay and auction sites for the best equipment he could make our resources stretch to with the aim of measuring twice and cutting once.

Over the past two months he has planned and re-planned and more recently started teh re-construction of his whole lab in order to have a more functional and credible operation. The big focus is to have the right controlled environment for the mass flow calorimeter and to allow the gamma detection to be employed on multiple experiments.

Here is a few images of the build...

A few photos showing the construction of the calorimetric bench that Mathieu Valat is building in France.

Check out his sneak peak below of the lab as it was 26.09.2014.
