@ Ed Pell The oxide wire test is really just a calibration cell. It has the oxide treated constantan wire (supposedly inert). A few day ago we had it in a CTC. Now it is unhooked from the power leads and so the values for resistance are incorrectly at 1200.

Hi Malachi, I am interested in the LENR stick oxide wire test. Why is the input resistance sometimes 1200 ohms and sometimes 6 ohms? What do you think cause the jump up in resistance a few days ago? I would like to know if the 450 degree spikes caused loading but I do not see any values for input resistance before the first set of 450 spikes??? Thanks.

@ All Thanks for being patient with the new data not updating. We had a lightning strike on Monday and it has messed up or fried a few things on campus. Our electrical engineer and software guru is very busy and will get to the network problem soon. Also for the multi wire test we are going to use CTC#2 (CTC#3 is not ready for use yet) instead of the water flow calorimeter until we can really figure out what is wrong with it.

@ Ecco I like the idea of an RSS feed. I also am thinking about a general HUG Lab update for when we are releasing new software, power outages or network problems. Though, it would be nice to only have one spot for updates. In the short term I can clean up the comments for each experiment in the experiment logs :)

@ All Quick update if you haven't looked at the log in a while. We think we are seeing thermistor 4 picking up extra heat from the environment and the DUT. We are trying a soft gasket (just a towel and some foam) to help eliminate these effects. After we finish trouble shooting, we will be calibrating. Hopefully soon.

@MFMP: the "DUT Watts" field (from what I understand, the output power directly calculated with water calorimeter data, before applying calibrations) is currently reporting higher values than input power. Is this the expected behavior? Shouldn't it be lower (as the calorimeter is not 100% efficient in retaining heat)?

It seems that after being zeroed at about 17:00 UTC, the thermistors are already showing signs of temperature drifting. This is a very serious problem. It might be affecting only these thermistors, but I don't think it would be a bad idea to implement in all testing protocols some periodic consistency checks to make sure that sensors give correct readings. By the way, this also means that the initial calibrations in this Multi-wire Water Calorimeter experiment might have been affected too by this problem.
