Power=(radiatin g area)*emissivit y*sigma*T^4 In the graphs "Difference between wires" there's a clear trend: the thermocouples report a higher value with the NiCr wire. This means that this calorimeter is a bad calorimeter in that it is sensitive to different IR spectrums (if emissivities are different, IR spectrums will be shifted). I propose doing the following: repeat the calibration winding more wire (say, twice as much in length). I predict that if you increase the length of the wire you will get lower temperature values on the probes (because a longer wire will be colder).
